The Amex Gold Card already has a ton of benefits to help offset the hefty $250 annual fee. The card’s primary benefits fall under travel categories, but Amex just added two key benefits this week that everyone will love.
- Members now can receive up to $120 annually ($10/month) in Uber Cash. Once Gold Card Members add their Card to their Uber or Uber Eats account, they unlock this benefit and can apply it to their rides with Uber or orders with Uber Eats in the U.S.
- 12 months of complimentary Eats Pass Membership when you enroll by December 31, 2021. Eats Pass is a monthly subscription through Uber Eats that offers unlimited $0 delivery fee and 5% off eligible restaurant orders over $15 and $0 Delivery Fee on eligible grocery deliveries over $30 in select U.S. markets – a value of up to $119 (typically $9.99/month).
Amex also brought back the Rose Gold Card design with these new benefits. They offered that color a couple of years ago for a limited time, but it’s back by popular demand.
The return of the Rose Gold Card design and new Uber Cash benefit are in addition to the Gold Card’s other benefits which include:
- 4X Membership Rewards® points at restaurants, including takeout and delivery.
- 4X Membership Rewards® points at U.S. supermarkets (on up to $25,000 in eligible purchases per calendar year).
- 3X Membership Rewards® points on airfare booked directly with airlines or on amextravel.com.
- $120 Annual Dining Credit (up to $10 a month in statement credits) when you pay with the Gold Card at participating partners.
I consider Amex Membership Reward Points the best in the game. They are incredibly versatile. You can use them for gift cards, pay down your monthly bill, pay with points at checkout (with partners), and shop directly through the Amex shopping portal. However, Amex points are most valuable, by far, when using them for travel.
What do you think of Amex’s new Gold Card benefits?
