Travel credit cards have lost much of their value since the pandemic struck. People aren’t traveling anywhere near the level they did in 2019, myself included. Generally, the travel credit cards that offer the greatest perks charge an annual fee. The Chase co-branded credit cards for British Airways, Iberia, and Aer Lingus carry an annual fee of $95.
In an effort to persuade cardholders to maintain their membership, Chase is giving their cardholders 10,000 bonus Avios after they renew their co-branded cards and keep them open for the entire renewal year. You can register your card for this offer here.
I have the Chase BA Visa and intended on keeping it anyway. It saves me 10% on all BA flights–so using it for just one flight a year would more than offset the annual fee.
To give you the sense of the value of this bonus..the 10,000 Avios would be more than enough to get me a one-way reward flight from NY to Miami on American Airlines (BA’s Oneworld partner). The bonus Avios are a pleasant surprise and a nice gesture from Chase.
Do you have a Chase co-branded credit card?
