American Express just announced plans to open its 16th Centurion Lounge at Washington, D.C.’s, Reagan National Airport (DCA). The new lounge will feature floor-to-ceiling windows, airfield views, and one-of-a-kind design elements inspired by the city’s history. It will span more than 11,500-square-feet. The upcoming lounge in DCA is estimated to open in late 2022, following the airport’s completion of Project Journey, a $1 billion capital improvement project. Built from the ground up, the entrance will be located in National Hall near Terminal B, after security.
The DCA Centurion Lounge will feature signature amenities such as a complimentary custom bar and food menu, premium restrooms with shower suites, access to high-speed Wi-Fi, and noise-buffering workspaces.
My Take
The Centurion Lounge network offers some of the best domestic lounges available. Amex will now have 16 lounges with several other global lounges for travelers. That’s great news for anyone with an Amex Platinum or Centurion Card.
All Centurion Lounges have reopened, except for NY’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA) which is still under construction.
What do you think of the Centurion Lounge Collection?
