$100 of Free Best Buy Products From Amex Platinum

The American Express platinum card is offering a widely targeted offer for $100 of free stuff from BestBuy. As with many of these offers, there is a bit of fine print but–with a little effort–you can definitely make it work. This offer is valid until the end of June so you have plenty of time to use it.

The offer is structured such that you need to spend at least $50 at bestbuy.com and you’ll get $50 back. You can use this offer twice to get a total of $100 credited back to your account. The fine print:

  • This is valid for one or more transactions at the U.S. version of bestbuy.com–NOT for in-store purchases or orders placed online and picked up curbside or in-store.
  • This excludes the following purchases: GeekSquad.com, PartStore.com, Best Buy Private Store, Best Buy Business, Best Buy Education, Best Buy Ignite, Best Buy Secondary Markets, Best Buy Auction site, corporate gift cards, electronic gift cards (physical cards are okay), group gift cards, phone purchases and purchases shipped outside of the U.S., U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam.

I’ve already successfully used the first $50 in a creative way and wanted to share the experience so everyone can benefit. I didn’t need anything electronic or tech at BestBuy at the moment, but they also offer an array of gift cards including travel, entertainment and food. In the spirit of future travel I purchased a $50 Delta gift card which I had shipped (for free) to my home. This is important…the gift card MUST be a physical card, as per the rules in the fine print. However, a physical card which is shipped is a qualifying purchase.

A few seconds after I made the purchase I received an email from Amex confirming the Delta gift card fell within the terms and conditions of the offer, and I will receive the money back. Great start to 2021.

How will you use your offer?
