Amex started the new year off with a bang. Platinum cardholders have access to several great offers, but the best one arguably stems from their partnership with PayPal. From now until June 30, 2021, platinum cardholders get a $30 statement credit each month when using PayPal for purchases at checkout. There is no need to register for this perk–it’s automatically available. The total value of this benefit is worth $180 over the next six months.
It is important to note that the credit is $30 for each of the next six months. If you don’t use it, you lose it. The credit does not carry over to the next month.
Before I posted this to everyone, I tested this benefit earlier this week to ensure it worked–it did.
In order for this credit to work you need to add your Amex platinum card to your PayPal account and use that card during the checkout process. Also, the terms state that “eligible purchases do not include fees or interest charges, purchases or reloading of prepaid cards, purchases of gift cards, person-to-person payments including those for goods and services, or purchases of other cash equivalents.”
What will you purchase with your new PayPal credit?
